Use Start-Up Stars to meet and network with other businesses

Entering Start-Up Stars can bring many benefits. Not only will you be in with the chance of winning the prestigious overall Start-Up Stars title and the £25,000 prize plus three additional awards with a £10,000 prize each, but those businesses that get through to the judging day will also have the opportunity to meet other firms competing in their region.

Networking with other companies can benefit you in many ways. Quite often, start-ups will be facing similar challenges, so talking to others about how they are tackling these issues can be a key source of support. Through networking you might also meet companies in your area that you could work with – perhaps by cross-promoting one another’s products or services.

Get networking online! At HSBC we realise how beneficial and valuable networking can be. That is why we have set up the HSBC Business Network where you can share information and gain advice from fellow members. You will also be able to talk with some previous Start-Up Stars entrants and finalists about their experiences of the competition.
